Towards the end of 2024, I started working on a new project with a new (to me) client. There were LOTS of meetings. I got to thinking about running more effective meetings. I started thinking about how to be a better facilitator. I read a bunch of articles. The snapshot above is from 6 Tips to Run a Highly Effective Meeting, Backed by Science which I thought provided the most concise summary.
Here are the others I read (again, closing up the tabs I had open across multiple browsers AND a couple of devices now that I think about it. :) Don’t judge me. You do it too!):
12 Essential Tips for Effective Meeting Management
15 Best Practices For Creating An Effective Corporate Meeting Culture
How to run effective meetings in the era of hybrid work
There is good stuff in all of those. I probably could run all of these through AI and pulled together a combo list but why overcomplicate things? The list of 6 is good enough.
I am a big fan of re-visiting the basics. I still have more tabs to clear. Next up is a sub-section of Harvard Business Review articles. :)
