Agile Notes (No. 21)

agilenotes.substack.com

Every Friday, I send out an email highlighting a concept relating to Agile/Scrum/Continuous Improvement. Lets get to it….

This week, I want to stay with McKinsey & Co. This week we will look at Enterprise Agility: Buzz or Business Impact. The whole article is worth a read. Here is a graph from Buzz or Business Impact that shows improvements provided by successful Agile Transformations. They looked at 22 enterprise level organizations across six sectors.

These are pretty significant gains. You will not see these kind of gains with half-baked agile transformations. The key word there is TRANSFORMATION. Every.single.person needs to be bought in. Transformation is not one or two teams playing at Agile/Scrum/Kanban. Transformation requires a fundamental shift in how the WHOLE COMPANY operates. It requires DISCIPLINE. It require VIGILANCE.

Thanks for reading. Please, leave a comment. Don’t be shy.
